Quinta Falcoes is situated near to Faja da Ovelha on the south western side of the island (see location of villa). The villa sits on the side of the hill with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Designed by a renowned local architect it was built in 2008. The architect has done a wonderful job taking advantage of the views by designing a 4 bedroom villa which fits perfectly in the land entitled " Sitio dos falcoes" (site of the falcons) and creating all "rooms with a view".

View: It has a panoramic view of 160° over the Atlantic, together with the amazing views of the valley and, of course, falcons flying the thermals.

Sleeping: The villa has 4 spacious bedrooms (sleeping 8 people) 3 double rooms & 1 twin room. All bedrooms have comfortable beds and pillows, duvets, blankets, built in wardrobes and wonderful views of the sea. One bedroom has a balcony to watch the spectacular sunrise and sunset, while the downstairs bedroom has its own private sitting out area.

Bathrooms: The villa has 4 bathrooms which include 2 showers, 1 bath and 4 loos (two are en-suite, one family bathroom and an additional w/c room). We provide fluffy white towels for use inside the villa and blue beach towels to use by the pool.

Eating: The villa has a sociable open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room area. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge/freezer (inc. ice-maker), gas hob and electric fan oven. The dining area has a large table to sit eight and, in addition, on the veranda, a large eight seater table provides a beautiful location for alfresco dining. There is also a purpose built barbecue area and the villa has full picnic sets for eight.

Entertainment: The Cinema / Games Room provides either a haven to escape from the sun, entertainment on rainy days or a venue for after dinner "contests". A large screen TV and DVD player with a good selection of DVD (but also welcome to bring your favourites too!), comfy sofa and bean bags, a well stocked bookcase (with book swap available) and a games table.

Children: Children are very welcome at Quinta Falcoes and the owners have two young children who frequently enjoy their time at the villa. However we would like to point out that the pool is not isolated via gates and therefore children will require supervision at all times. Also, while balconies and terraces are appropriately fenced "inquisitive climbers" must be supervised. Private heated swimming pool with private gardens and areas for outside dining, sunbathing and card playing (backgammon and cards provided).

Please note this is a non-smoking property (within the villa and the grounds) and no pets are allowed.

Walking: A levada runs just outside the driveway providing a good starting point for local walks.
